We have begun marketing the very popular Multi-Joint Box complete with a built-in compact emergency warning device and onboard communication device, now mandatory equipment for every compartment in accordance with the revised 96SOLAS.
　
Due to the unitization of each compartment, the Multi-Joint Box has been developed with the aim of further reducing the amount of electric power required as well as the actual wiring used for communications. With this in mind, the compartment light switch, emergency warning buzzer and onboard command speaker were built-in along with sockets that enable the connection of any necessary power cord in the compartment, such as for lights, clocks, telephones or devices used with antennas, etc., inside the Multi-Joint Box. This innovation represents great savings in wiring and labor costs and is quite popular with the users.

By connecting antenna turnouts to the Multi-Joint Box instead of conventional multi-sockets in the compartment, you can:

	The work required for the wiring of the main line and the wiring inside the compartment can be divided to increase efficiency.
	Wiring to and from multi-sockets in the compartment (branch circuit unit) is rendered unnecessary leaving only the feed wire (5C-2V).
	The lead wire from multi-sockets in the compartment (branch circuit unit) to the communication side is rendered unnecessary and the gain damping amount is reduced due to shortening of the total wiring length.
